Arkema was established as a corporation in October 2004, at the time consolidating part of TOTAL’s chemicals business. Arkema has become, within two years, an independent company listed on the financial markets.  

Its activity consists of three sectors:
- Vinyl Products
- Industrial Chemicals
- Performance Products

Arkema today employs 15,000 people, with sales of 5.7 billion euros.

This is a quite unique industrial story, as beyond their contribution to the Company’s operation, Arkema personnel are part of the venture to expand this new industrial group.
